ow is a schedule and brief description of the classes that will be offered at the Grande Health and Wellness Center in the new Home Office and Research Center. While classes will vary in intensity and difficultly, all exercises can be modified to fit your activity level. Talk to the instructor about showing you modified exercise moves to best fit your ability.
February 26 - April 5
Body Blast - This class offers intervals of strength, cardio, and abs using weights, bars, balls, and body resistance to build physical conditioning and endurance.
Boot Camp - Boot up your fitness with a variety of functional exercises designed to increase your endurance, strength, agility, and movement skills. Classes vary by timing, format and exercise choice to keep your body guessing and improving. Exercises can be modified to fit your ability, but come prepared to work. "Check your lazy at the door and bring your crazy to the floor 'cause it's boot camp time!" OK we promise not to rhyme any more.
Cardio Kickboxing - Learn the basic techniques for kickboxing. We will combine these moves into a great workout for your heart and lungs, shoulders, hips and core. The music will rev you up and you will leave with a smile on your face!
Core and More - 30 minute class focused solely on strengthening your core
Kettlebells- Functional fitness providing an individual with the ability to move better. We will be utilizing proper form and technique and gradually increasing workload based upon optimal movement.
Zumba - Ditch the workout and join the party! Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and other world music with easy to follow dance and fitness moves. Class cuing is mostly nonverbal. Express yourself and have fun while you burn calories with Zumba!
Yoga I & II - Flow yoga helps to warm the muscles as you are stretching so that they move more easily. We will get a feel for the poses that are planned, then link them together with your breath for an energized yoga work out. Flows may be planned for overall body work, or aimed more specifically to hip openers, chest openers, etc. Expect frequent level changes from standing to the floor. Class will end with a relaxation (savasana).
Yogalates - This class combines the core focused movement of pilates with the lengthening of yoga. The two modalities work together to restore posture, build efficient movement, reduce stress and boost your energy.
Tabata Tuesdays - Consider this a Full Body Challenge! One major effect of this workout is your body continues to burn fat for a significant period of time after the workout is over!
HIIT it Thursdays - Get ready to add HIIT, high-intensity interval training, workouts to your life and take your fitness to the next level. These HIIT workouts build cardiovascular fitness while improving strength, building lean muscle and maximizing calorie burn. The 30-minute cycle workout that uses high-intensity interval training to help you smash goals faster. HIIT is one of the best ways to get your heart rate up maximize your workout time.

Lynda Johnson, Certified Personal Trainer
Club Olympia Fitness
Lynda Johnson is the Director of Training at Club Olympia Fitness, in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. Lynda is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer (2003) and a Pilates Method Alliance certified Pilates instructor (2007). With over 940 hours of training in Pilates mat and equipment instruction, she is one of only 20 PMA certified Pilates instructors in Wisconsin. Lynda is a certified yoga instructor with over 160 hours of training in yoga. She has completed 100 hours of specialized course work in balance and mobility training for seniors through the California State University in Fullerton. Lynda conducts 20 to 25 personal training sessions per week. She teaches Yoga, Pilates, Zumba and Afterburn classes at Club Olympia. She writes the lesson plans for the high intensity interval training classes taught by all the Afterburn instructors at Club Olympia. She holds a BA from Wellesley College and an MS from Purdue University.

Lynn Roethke, Certified Personal Trainer
Club Olympia Fitness
Lynn Roethke is the owner of Club Olympia Fitness in Fond du Lac Wisconsin. She is an Olympic Silver Medalist, a two time Olympic team member and an 8th degree black belt in the sport of Judo. She has been an ACE certified personal trainer since 1997. With the vast experience of her own athletic development along with years of personal training, Lynn specializes in program design for all levels of fitness. She is known for her motivational skills and innovative programming. Her specialties include Judo, strength training, cardio kickboxing, circuit, high intensity interval training, and self-defense classes. Additionally Lynn holds a BS BA from Marian University in business.

Karen Cook, Certified Personal Trainer
Club Olympia Fitness
Karen Cook joined the staff at Club Olympia as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer in 2013. She is an ACE certified personal trainer and holds a NETA kettlebell specialty certification. Karen specializes in kettlebell training and high intensity interval training. She teaches strength classes, body sculpting, core, cardio kickboxing and high intensity interval training classes. As a veteran of several half and full marathons, she works with aspiring runners of all levels. Karen’s previous experience as a school band director has helped hone her teaching skills. She is skilled at progressing and regressing the intensity of exercises to meet the needs of clients while staying true to the original intent of the exercise. Karen is currently working towards a specialty certification in sports conditioning. She holds a BS from Eastern Michigan University and an MA from Northern Michigan University.
